Missing Mutants Tortured

The missing persons who were recovered last week were in fact mutants, a source confirmed today. The source further revealed that those mutants taken were kidnapped for a very specific reason - the group whose headquarters were raided was holding them for medical experimentation that our source labels "not much better than torture."

He could not specify the exact nature of the experimentation, only saying that it was "brutal, extreme, and inhumane." The source also confirmed that several dead bodies were discovered at the scene, including those of mutants who had been executed just prior to the raid in what appears to be an attempt to destory evidence. Much of the evidence relating to the crimes was disturbed both by those in the facility and the anonymous 'rescuers' who moved on the scene before the police were informed.

This paper has been able to confirm the identies of several of the victims, including Jamie Madrox, Lorna Dane, Jackson Holland, Vincent Lazzaro, and Serena Hall. According to our source, who refused to provide names, at least five other mutants were held and tested at the facility.
